At the Canada Aviation and Space Museum’s summer camps, boys and girls ages 6 to 12 will develop a passion for aviation, a love of history, and a sense of pride in this great country. Each camp features awesome games, historical tales of aviation adventures, fantastic crafts, amazing scientific experiments, and of course, a breathtaking flight over the Nation’s Capital!

Experiment with water rockets, make a hot-air balloon model, build and fly gliders and kites. Dress like astronauts and perform your own "space walk". Explore the museum, sit in cockpits; try the controls of a real plane; all in preparation for a flight of your own!

Experiment with rockets, build and test glider models, take astronaut training and explore the unknown planet! After passing your "test flights" in various cockpits, you'll take to the air for a real flight!

Conduct pre-flight safety checks, keep your log book up-to-date and conduct aerodynamics experiments. Wear the gear, try the sims and then fly in the real thing!

Train like an astronaut. Receive a mission briefing and assignment. Chart your course through the stars. Conduct experiments and discover how life in space is different from life on Earth. Before leaving training camp you'll follow in the footsteps of real astronauts and take off in an airplane.
8 to 9 year olds

Explore the world of Lego NXT robotics and programming at the Museum with Ian Dudley. Become a junior aircraft engineer as you create dynamic projects using Lego Technic. Learn how various aircraft systems work and build them using gears, pulleys, motors, pneumatics, and more!
8 to 9 year olds and 10 to 12 year olds

As a junior aerospace engineer, you will create dynamic projects using LEGO® Technic! Explore the world of space robotics using LEGO NXT and RCX to control a selection of projects with sound, light, touch, ultrasonic sensors with Ian Dudley.
8 to 9 year olds and 10 to 12 year olds

Build it – Fly it!

Build your own balsa-wood model and then test it in a dog-fight "round the pole". Save your egg from destruction in our egg-launch challenge. Construct and launch a rocket. Assemble an actual homebuilt kit plane. Sit in aircraft cockpits, manipulate the controls of a Cessna 150, and fly our simulators.
10 to 12 year olds
