The following programs are planned with 3 to 5 year olds and accompanying care givers or teachers in mind, using preschool developmental concepts. A fun story sets the theme, followed by special activities in the Museum and ending with a super take-home craft workshop. Hands-on participation is emphasized.

Hangin’ Around the Hangar!

Kids take on the role of junior aircraft mechanic and learn the parts of an aircraft by helping take apart our model airplane and putting it back together again. A visit to the cockpit of our Cessna 150 and some great aviation crafts round out the hour.

Earn Your Pilot’s Wings

This program starts with a thrilling story about a pilot followed by a visit aboard our big DC-3 to see everything first hand. Kids learn about all the different jobs people do on airplanes, and make their very own wings badge.

All About Helicopters

Kids discover how helicopters fly, the different jobs these aircraft do, and much more, through an exciting rescue story, a visit into the Museum to see the real thing, and a great “make-and-take” project.

I Want To Be a Jet Pilot!

Kids become the pilot of an imaginary jet in an interactive story, try on real pilot’s gear, sit in an ejection seat, and make a cool model Starfighter jet to take home.

Planes, Packs and Fun!

New this summer!
