“Brushstrokes and Wingtips” showcases the Museum’s collection of art and archival photographs in a narrative that illustrates Canada’s aviation heritage as well as the impact of aviation on Canadians. The site is designed to appeal not only to students in grades 6 to 8 but also to the aviation enthusiast and art connoisseur. Come and explore Canada’s aviation stories!

Let There Be Flight

December 17, 2003 marked the 100th anniversary of Orville and Wilbur Wright’s flights on a beach in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, and the centennial of mankind’s first powered flight. Trace back this important historic event with us and find out about the development of aviation technology, through period photographs. You can even try your hand at a virtual Wright Flyer.
